KENDRICK HAVE A DREAM, and apparently, that dream is to stand completely motionless up against the bumper of a classic car while “Sherane” (or a well-proportioned woman standing in as her) booty-dances in the driver’s seat.
That’s definitely the highlight of the visuals to “Backseat Freestyle”, the tour de force record off K. Dot’s good kid, M.A.A.D. city. Other stand-out moments in the video (which Lamar directed alongside Jerome D & Dave Free) include the violent energy of the third verse, shot with the Eiffel Tower in the background; and the interlude at 1:28, where we meet Mr. Lamar in his never-ending quest for Dominos.
What do you think of the music video? Does it live up to the record’s incredible aggression?
You can get good kid, M.A.A.D. city on iTunes for $13.99 USD.
